Fjord

From Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu, starring Renate Reinsve and Sebastian Stan as Norwegian-Romanian parents with clashing ideals in a modern fjord village.

The deeply religious and conservative Romanian-Norwegian Gheorghiu family moves to a small community in a remote fjord in Norway. Even though the couple raises their five children according to biblical values, they build a close bond with their new neighbours. But when teenage Elia Gheorghiu turns up at school one day covered in bruises, alarm bells ring, and the village community turns completely against the parents' traditional upbringing.
