One early morning, Finn and his younger brother Charlie run away from their home in England. With their parents separating, they're afraid of being split up. In search of their eccentric grandfather, they head to the Irish west coast.

On their long journey, they have to rely on their charm, intelligence and the kindness of strangers like Kait, a free-spirited busker who's on the run from plenty of trouble of her own.
